3 Day Kidepo Valley National Park Tour

Day 1: Pick up and Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park

Have an early Breakfast and drive to Kidepo National Park using the shortest (485 km) route which will take you from Hoima – Masindi – Kotido via Kitgum to the far northeast where Uganda borders Kenya and Southern Sudan. Travel time from Kampala to Kidepo National Park is about 8 Hours.

You will have an opportunity to view some of the Park animals and birds found close to the camp.

Day 2: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park
(Game Drive, Scenic Viewing, and Community Walk)

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. Where a variety of animals and birds can be seen roving around like the fast-running Ostrich.

Have an afternoon Game Drive that will take you through the Narus Valley to see herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hopefully some lions, leopards, and the elusive cheetah. This will also enable you to be in full sight of a variety of birds as well.

Stops will be made at any time in order for you to be able to take pictures of fabulous wildlife and birds along the way. En route to your camp for lunch and have a brief rest, until evening when you will go for a cultural tour in the Karamajong community.

Here you will spend a wonderful evening with the Karamojong people and have an insight into their way of life and beliefs. At the end of the tour, you will be able to understand why their pride makes them slow to adapt to globalization.

The travel time from Kidepo National Park to Kampala is about 9 Hours.
