Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to the Hotel in Entebbe

For this 4 Days Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Forest, The guide from our company will meet you upon your arrival at the airport and he will drive you to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Depending on your arrival time, we might go for an Entebbe city tour or a nature walk in the botanical gardens, a visit to the reptile village, or a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) to mention but a few.

Day 2: Depart to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After your early breakfast, you will be picked up from Kampala at around 7:00 a.m. and proceed to the southwestern part of the country. Stop at the equator for landmark photo taking, then through Mbarara. Break for lunch on the way then proceed to Bwindi National Park the home of Mountain Gorillas.

It is estimated that half of the world’s surviving population of mountain gorillas is shared by Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo. The drive is long but enjoyable. Proceed to Bwindi while viewing the terraced hills of Kigezi Highlands once known as Switzerland of Africa.

Then arrive at the lodge for your accommodation in the evening. Optional activity here is visiting the pygmies.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi impenetrable forest

After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park offices for registration and joining others for the dos and don’ts during your gorilla trek. Once this is done, you will trek through the thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas which can take you from half an hour to three-quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.

On your trek, you will be allowed to stay with them for an hour before trekking back to the park headquarters. This is indeed an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered creatures. The feeling is one unlike any other felt before, only you can find the fitting word, mine, awestruck You? On this day, we can do an optional drive to lake Bunyonyi which is a perfect place for relaxation and photography.

Day 4: Bwindi to Kampala- Entebbe

After the well-prepared breakfast, we drive back to Kampala through the vast rolling hills onto the long-horned cattle farmlands with Lunch en route and a stopover at the equator.

The trip will end at the airport or at the destination of your choice or you will be driven to the airport for your flight back home.
