DETAILED ITINERARY

Samburu National Park

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Park

 

Early morning pick up from the airport or your Nairobi hotel. There will be a brief safari orientation (pre-departure meeting) of the safari, thereafter you will drive north past the equator to the northern frontier district.

Additionally continue to the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve and check in to your tented camp.

After lunch, there will be time to settle in before your first game drive adventure begins.

4.00 pm Set out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the camp before dark for dinner, overnight, and relaxation at Umoja camp/camel gate lodge/similar

Day 2: Samburu Reserve

 

Wake up call 6.00 a.m.

6.30 a.m. Set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lions, Cheetahs, and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog…whatever the players, the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe-inspiring!

8.30 am Back at the lodge, enjoy your sumptuous breakfast.

12.30 pm lunch in the camp then its time at leisure to relax.

4.00 pm afternoon game drive. Return to the campsite before dark for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at Umoja camp/camel gate lodge/similar

Day 3: Samburu Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

 

After an early morning breakfast at 07:30 hrs depart for a morning game drive in the reserve as we exit. Drive a southerly direction to the equator with a brief stop; here the locals do a water demonstration to qualify the position of the equator.

After the brief stop drive to Thompson Falls for a photo stop and lunch then down the Rift Valley as you ascend the eastern wall of the Rift Valley lush coffee and tea plantations reveal themselves and your driver guides will give you a brief talk about coffee farming in Kenya.

Day 3: Samburu Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

 

After an early morning breakfast at 07:30 hrs depart for a morning game drive in the reserve as we exit. Drive a southerly direction to the equator with a brief stop; here the locals do a water demonstration to qualify the position of the equator.

Day 4: Nakuru-Maasai Mara National Park

 

Full buffet breakfast and enjoy a morning game drive at Lake Nakuru the home of the white rhino and flamingos.

 

There drive via Narok town to Mara National Reserve, the land of the Maasai tribe, Lunch en route.

The proud young Maasai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears, challenge your curiosity.

The 700-square-mile Game Reserve is the Africa of your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands.

Dinner and overnight at the camp Miti Mingi eco camp /rhino tourist camp/similar.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Park

 

After breakfast leave with a picnic lunch for a full day which will be spent game viewing and exploring the Game reserve in search of the Big 5, and other varieties of wildlife Game includes elephant, Black Rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, white-bearded gnu, Oribi, warthog,

Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, hartebeest, and the big cats; the rivers are home to hippos and crocodiles. Leave the park in the evening and you can do a Maasai visit or Simply relax.

Dinner and overnight at Miti Mingi eco camp /rhino tourist camp/similar.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Park

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Park – Lake Naivasha

 

On this day you can do a hot air balloon safari (optional) or have an early morning game drive.

Come back to the camp for breakfast, check out, and leave for Naivasha. Arrive in the afternoon and can either relax or take up an optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

 

 

After breakfast proceed on to Hells Gate National Park; this is the only park in Kenya where you can walk, cycle alongside the animals, or just drive as you enjoy the great scenes. Take a nature walk to the gorges, the beautiful series will leave you in awe of what nature can offer.

Leave Naivasha in good time and start off the drive to Amboseli National Park with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the camp Kimana tented camp

Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

 

 

After breakfast proceed on to Hells Gate National Park; this is the only park in Kenya where you can walk, cycle alongside the animals, or just drive as you enjoy the great scenes. Take a nature walk to the gorges, the beautiful series will leave you in awe of what nature can offer.

Leave Naivasha in good time and start off the drive to Amboseli National Park with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the camp Kimana tented camp

Hells Gate National Park Kenya

Day 8: Amboseli National Park

 

A day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance.

A variety of plains game, antelopes, and birds can also be seen, and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit.

We will cater picnic lunch’s return to the camp for an overnight dinner at Kimana tented camp

Day 9: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

 

Early morning game viewing, return to the camp for full breakfast, check out, and later drive back to Nairobi.

Have lunch en route arriving in the late afternoon.

You will be dropped at the airport to catch your flight or at your hotel for an overnight and you can also enjoy and familiarize yourself with Nairobi.

 

End of your 9 Days Kenya Safari!

Day 9: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

 

Early morning game viewing, return to the camp for full breakfast, check out, and later drive back to Nairobi.

Have lunch en route arriving in the late afternoon.

You will be dropped at the airport to catch your flight or at your hotel for an overnight and you can also enjoy and familiarize yourself with Nairobi.
