The 6-day Gorilla, Chimpanzee tracking & wildlife tour will provide you with the amazing experience of visiting and having a face-to-face interaction with the great Apes; The Mountain Gorillas of Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a world heritage site in Western Uganda.
It is most notable for half of the world’s remaining population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas and this will be the highlight of our safari. Surely this safari will bring everlasting memories; see primates like Chimpanzees and monkeys, not forget a variety of wildlife you will watch all on the same safari. On top of this, enjoy culture and beautiful scenery as you traverse the countryside.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale National Park
On your arrival, you will be received by our representative, your driver/guide who will drive you to the hotel and later get you briefed about your 6-day gorilla, chimpanzee trekking & wildlife tour.
Depending on your arrival time, drive to Kibale National Park, with an en-route lunch in Fort Portal and scenic view along the foothills of the Rwenzori, check in to the service of our lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
After early morning breakfast, you go to this great park which is said to have the greatest variety of primates in East Africa, for Chimpanzee trekking. Among the primates found in this forest are the black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, and red-tailed monkeys.
Then in the afternoon after lunch, we will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving along the foothills of the shadows of the magical “mountains of the moon” -Rwenzori. Arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
The day begins with an early breakfast and we go for a game drive in the Kasenyi Kobs mating ground which is in the northern sector of this park. We are more likely to see waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants, lions, and warthogs in their natural habitat. The game drive normally takes 2-3 hours.
After lunch, we go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This is a very interesting cruise because of the large number of animals and birds it offers.
It also takes 2 hours.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth – Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest
After an early breakfast, embark on a game drive to the Ishasha plains for the resident tree-climbing lions plus a diversity of wildlife. The landscape in this sector is unique compared to that in other parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
It’s breathtaking seeing these lions lazily resting on tree branches targeting their prey. In the afternoon, we then transferred to Bwindi National Park with lunch en route.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After an early breakfast, we proceed to the park offices for registration and briefing before starting the highlight of our activities; the Gorilla trekking. Encountering the largest and heaviest primates is an adventurous and memorable activity that can’t be easily erased from your mind.
Tracking from Bwindi sometimes involves walking up steep densely forested hills; therefore, some fitness may be required. It may take 3-8 hours under muddy and strenuous conditions, sometimes with rain overhead.
But all these conditions cease to be a challenge the moment you come face to face with the amazing mountain gorilla. We come back to our accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Kampala
After breakfast, we drive back to Entebbe, with stopovers / breaks at the Equator for the water experiment and look at the craft shops.
We later proceed on to Entebbe and check into your place of accommodation or drive straight to the Airport for your flight home.
End of 6 days Gorilla, Chimpanzee tracking & wildlife tour.
